Hampden Estate Rum "The 8 Marks Collection"
Hampden Estate Rum is a Jamaican rum from the Trelawney area. The Hampden marks collection is designed to give an insight into the fact that a single distillery can produce a grand total of eight different rums, simply by playing around with the raw materials. There are 5 total raw materials used- molasses, cane juice vinegar, dunder addition, water content, and muck addition. All are used in variable quantities to make the 8 marks- OWH, LFCH, LROK, HLCF, <>H, HGML, C<>H, and DOK. Marks, or Marques, were originally created to mark the barrels to identify the rum in them using the distillers initials or the abbreviations of the characteristics of the rum.-
